{"id":255009,"date":"2021-03-02T09:01:35","date_gmt":"2021-03-02T14:01:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apimetrology.com\/?p=255009"},"modified":"2023-05-16T21:54:36","modified_gmt":"2023-05-17T01:54:36","slug":"focus-sur-lindustrie-mois-de-lhistoire-de-laviation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apimetrology.com\/fr\/focus-sur-lindustrie-mois-de-lhistoire-de-laviation\/","title":{"rendered":"Focus sur l&#8217;industrie: Mois de l&#8217;histoire de l&#8217;aviation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Focus sur l&#8217;industrie: Mois de l&#8217;histoire de l&#8217;aviation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Comment le laser tracker a chang\u00e9 la fabrication a\u00e9ronautique moderne et les voyages a\u00e9riens pour le monde<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que nous c\u00e9l\u00e9brons le Mois de l&#8217;histoire de l&#8217;aviation en novembre (et chaque) novembre, une grande partie des discussions s&#8217;articule autour de quelques moments d\u00e9cisifs qui nous ont permis d&#8217;arriver au point o\u00f9 la Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) g\u00e8re plus de 16 millions de vols par an, transportant pr\u00e8s de 3 millions de passagers par jour et 44 milliards de livres de fret par an, et repr\u00e9sentant plus de 5% du produit int\u00e9rieur brut (PIB) am\u00e9ricain. Ces moments incluent souvent le premier vol en montgolfi\u00e8re plus l\u00e9ger que l&#8217;air en 1783, le vol l\u00e9gendaire des fr\u00e8res Wright en 1903 et le Boeing 707 qui inaugure l&#8217;\u00e8re des vols commerciaux dans les ann\u00e9es 1950.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sans aucun de ces moments, il est impossible de dire si les voyages a\u00e9riens commerciaux auraient litt\u00e9ralement d\u00e9coll\u00e9. Mais il y a eu de nombreux autres d\u00e9veloppements qui ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;essor du transport a\u00e9rien, en particulier au cours des 70 ann\u00e9es \u00e9coul\u00e9es depuis que les vols commerciaux sont devenus disponibles. L&#8217;une de ces perc\u00e9es s&#8217;est produite en 1982: l&#8217;invention du laser tracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au d\u00e9but, le Laser Tracker et la fabrication a\u00e9rospatiale semblaient \u00eatre sur des pistes tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes, mais ils se croiseraient bient\u00f4t de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s significative. Le Dr Kam Lau, fondateur et PDG d&#8217;API, bricolait le premier Laser Tracker dans le sous-sol de l&#8217;Institut national des normes et de la technologie (NIST), et ses pens\u00e9es \u00e9taient loin des avions pendant son travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLe premier laser tracker \u00e9tait un tracker 5\/6-D con\u00e7u pour l&#8217;\u00e9talonnage de pr\u00e9cision du robot et le contr\u00f4le de position\u00bb, explique le Dr Lau. \u00abMais l&#8217;industrie de la robotique subissait un \u00e9norme revers en raison des performances relativement m\u00e9diocres des robots qui ne r\u00e9pondaient pas aux attentes de performances g\u00e9n\u00e9rales.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pendant ce temps, l&#8217;industrie a\u00e9ronautique faisait face au probl\u00e8me inverse. Depuis 30 ans, depuis le d\u00e9veloppement du Boeing 707, la demande d&#8217;avions de passagers et de fret a doubl\u00e9 chaque d\u00e9cennie. Mais les processus d&#8217;alignement et d&#8217;assemblage pour la construction de ces avions prenaient beaucoup de temps et les co\u00fbts augmentaient alors que les fabricants s&#8217;effor\u00e7aient de suivre le rythme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abBeaucoup de ces op\u00e9rations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9es manuellement, par\u00ab globe oculaire \u00bbavec des v\u00e9rins manuels qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construits pour les t\u00e2ches sp\u00e9cifiques\u00bb, se souvient Steve Powers, un v\u00e9t\u00e9ran de 20 ans du foyer de fabrication a\u00e9rospatiale de Wichita. \u00abHabituellement, le m\u00eame type travaillait pour cet alignement sp\u00e9cifique. Ceci, bien s\u00fbr, \u00e9tait beaucoup moins pr\u00e9cis et causait parfois des probl\u00e8mes majeurs. Je me souviens d&#8217;un m\u00e9canicien, qui ne pouvait jamais manquer une journ\u00e9e de travail et il lui \u00e9tait impossible de planifier des vacances. Parce que s&#8217;il \u00e9tait parti, l&#8217;unit\u00e9 ne pourrait pas \u00eatre rejointe. C&#8217;\u00e9tait sur le 737 Classic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peu de temps apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9monstration du premier prototype fonctionnel du Laser Tracker, le Dr Lau a suscit\u00e9 l&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat de nombreuses industries. Et il ne fallut pas longtemps pour que les chemins du traqueur et de l&#8217;aviation se croisent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abC&#8217;\u00e9tait Boeing en premier\u00bb, dit le Dr Lau. \u00abBoeing a mis 10 mois \u00e0 \u00e9tudier les avantages et l&#8217;impact du Laser Tracker sur leur processus d&#8217;assemblage, et ils ont pass\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re commande de Laser Tracker \u00e0 API.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boeing n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas la seule partie int\u00e9ress\u00e9e. Lockheed Martin a \u00e9galement pass\u00e9 une commande et, en utilisant la priorit\u00e9 militaire, ils ont en fait re\u00e7u leur commande avant Boeing. Le reste de l&#8217;industrie n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas loin derri\u00e8re et les r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 instantan\u00e9s et durables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abVitesse et pr\u00e9cision\u00bb, d\u00e9clare Steve Powers, interrog\u00e9 sur l&#8217;impact des Laser Trackers. \u00abLes exigences diff\u00e8rent davantage d&#8217;un client \u00e0 l&#8217;autre, et les premi\u00e8res unit\u00e9s assembl\u00e9es ont davantage d&#8217;exigences de mesure. Le laser tracker a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le flux de production et \u00e0 fabriquer un produit fini de meilleure qualit\u00e9. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et les deux hommes conviennent que les Laser Trackers ont influenc\u00e9 la conception et les capacit\u00e9s des avions au cours des 35 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. \u00abIl est difficile d&#8217;imaginer comment la fabrication a\u00e9rospatiale serait sans laser tracker\u00bb, d\u00e9clare le Dr Lau. \u00abLa facilit\u00e9 d&#8217;utilisation, la robustesse et la pr\u00e9cision du Laser Tracker sont devenues si dominantes qu&#8217;il a remplac\u00e9 les autres technologies et produits.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abEh bien, il y aurait \u00e9videmment moins de pr\u00e9cision\u00bb, d\u00e9clare Steve Powers. \u00abLes exigences de mesure sur les avions d&#8217;aujourd&#8217;hui sont presque impossibles \u00e0 satisfaire,<em>&nbsp;avec<\/em>&nbsp;l&#8217;utilisation de Laser Trackers. Sans eux, les tol\u00e9rances n&#8217;auraient pas pu devenir si r\u00e9duites. Il est incroyable de voir \u00e0 quel point les tol\u00e9rances sont devenues r\u00e9duites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais le partenariat a profit\u00e9 plus qu&#8217;aux seuls fabricants de l&#8217;a\u00e9rospatiale. Au fur et \u00e0 mesure que les trackers se sont int\u00e9gr\u00e9s \u00e0 leurs environnements, les ing\u00e9nieurs et les op\u00e9rateurs de trackers ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des commentaires r\u00e9fl\u00e9chis sur les moyens d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer les performances des trackers. Et les \u00e9quipementiers ont \u00e9cout\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abAu d\u00e9part, la plupart des trackers \u00e9taient assez gros et lourds \u00e0 transporter\u00bb, se souvient Steve Powers. \u00abLa voie \u00e0 suivre \u00e9tait plus petite et plus l\u00e9g\u00e8re, puis, les sondes sans fil et les cibles actives ont fait passer les mesures au niveau sup\u00e9rieur.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abL&#8217;industrie a\u00e9ronautique a apport\u00e9 trois des am\u00e9liorations les plus importantes aux trackers API au fil des ans\u00bb, d\u00e9clare le Dr Lau. \u00abTout d&#8217;abord, nous avons d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un appareil de t\u00e9l\u00e9m\u00e9trie tr\u00e8s compact et tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cis appel\u00e9 ADM (appareil de mesure de distance absolue) pour produire la mesure la plus fiable et la plus pratique de l&#8217;industrie. Ensuite, nous avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 notre cible active (AT) brevet\u00e9e car ils utilisaient le Laser Tracker pour l&#8217;\u00e9talonnage de grandes machines-outils multi-axes. Et nous avons d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 iVision Auto-Lock. En raison de l&#8217;interruption constante du faisceau, le verrouillage automatique aide le tracker \u00e0 r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer facilement le faisceau. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que les Laser Trackers et la fabrication a\u00e9ronautique se sont entra\u00een\u00e9s mutuellement dans une boucle d&#8217;am\u00e9lioration des processus et de conception plus ambitieuse, l&#8217;industrie a \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 une demande toujours croissante. Et bien qu&#8217;il existe de nombreux autres facteurs, y compris une meilleure formation des pilotes et un logiciel de pilote automatique, un radar am\u00e9lior\u00e9 pour la prise en charge de la FAA et des conceptions mieux con\u00e7ues avec des s\u00e9curit\u00e9s de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, les avions construits pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette demande sont les plus s\u00fbrs que le monde ait jamais vu. En 2017, il y a eu 44 d\u00e9c\u00e8s li\u00e9s aux a\u00e9ronefs, et bien que ce soit encore 44 de trop, c&#8217;est 98% de moins que les pr\u00e8s de 2500 qu&#8217;il y avait en 1972.
