Onsrud r\u00e9parent un portique usag\u00e9 pour Flying-S apr\u00e8s qu&#8217;il ait \u00e9t\u00e9 endommag\u00e9 en transit  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-paragraph\">Dans la premi\u00e8re partie de notre s\u00e9rie d&#8217;\u00e9tudes de cas avec Flying-S (&#8220;API Services Helps Flying-S Unlock Their Machine Tool&#8217;s Full Potential&#8221;), nous avons discut\u00e9 de la fa\u00e7on dont le partenariat d&#8217;API avec C.R. Onsrud a permis \u00e0 Flying-S de d\u00e9bloquer de nouvelles applications avec leur portique qui ont consid\u00e9rablement augment\u00e9 leurs capacit\u00e9s. Afin de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande croissante de ses nouvelles offres et de garantir ses processus en cas de panne de machine, Flying-S a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 ajouter un deuxi\u00e8me C.R. Onsrud \u00e0 ses installations. Ils ont trouv\u00e9 une machine d&#8217;occasion qui r\u00e9pondait \u00e0 leurs besoins, mais la machine a \u00e9t\u00e9 gravement endommag\u00e9e pendant le transport depuis la c\u00f4te ouest. Flying-S a fait appel \u00e0 C.R. Onsrud pour v\u00e9rifier si la machine pouvait \u00eatre r\u00e9par\u00e9e. Lorsqu&#8217;elle l&#8217;a jug\u00e9 r\u00e9cup\u00e9rable, Flying-S a \u00e9galement fait appel aux services API pour prendre en charge les processus de r\u00e9paration, de reconstruction et de v\u00e9rification. En travaillant ensemble, ils ont pu :  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul type=\"video\" class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remplacer les \u00e9chelles, les vis et les guides lin\u00e9aires de la machine.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remonter la t\u00eate d&#8217;inclinaison \u00e0 cinq axes et les tables.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>V\u00e9rifier la broche et l&#8217;enveloppe de travail de la machine pour qu&#8217;elles correspondent au premier portique C.R. Onsrud, avec une compensation d&#8217;erreur volum\u00e9trique (CEV) de API Services, Flying-S a \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de prendre en charge des projets beaucoup plus importants que ce dont ses machines \u00e9taient capables auparavant. La transition amorc\u00e9e en 2001, d&#8217;un atelier d&#8217;usinage situ\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;arri\u00e8re d&#8217;une grange hangar \u00e0 l&#8217;un des principaux fournisseurs de composants de grande taille pour l&#8217;a\u00e9ronautique et l&#8217;exploration spatiale, \u00e9tait bien engag\u00e9e. Mais cette expansion rapide s&#8217;est accompagn\u00e9e d&#8217;une foule de nouveaux d\u00e9fis. Ses ing\u00e9nieurs \u00e9tant d\u00e9sormais en mesure d&#8217;accepter pratiquement tous les travaux qui leur sont confi\u00e9s, Flying-S a rapidement maximis\u00e9 le rendement de son portique. Ils ont rapidement identifi\u00e9 le besoin d&#8217;une deuxi\u00e8me machine C.R Onsrud pour g\u00e9rer le travail en surnombre et assurer la redondance en cas de panne d&#8217;une machine.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Notre premier Onsrud a \u00e9t\u00e9 un succ\u00e8s. Nous en sommes tr\u00e8s heureux. Nous avons toujours su que nous voulions avoir une redondance et obtenir un deuxi\u00e8me Onsrud \u00e9galement&#8221;, d\u00e9clare Peter Bowman, ing\u00e9nieur de fabrication chez Flying-S. &#8220;Nous avons cette tr\u00e8s grande, tr\u00e8s belle machine \u00e0 cinq acc\u00e8s. Elle fonctionne tr\u00e8s bien. Nous en avons besoin d&#8217;une autre pour le travail de production et l&#8217;\u00e9barbage de production des composants composites.&#8221;  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;\u00e9quipe de Flying-S savait que l&#8217;achat de nouveaux biens d&#8217;\u00e9quipement peut \u00eatre un processus long. Aussi, lorsque l&#8217;occasion d&#8217;acheter un C.R. Onsrud l\u00e9g\u00e8rement usag\u00e9 s&#8217;est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e, elle a saut\u00e9 sur l&#8217;occasion.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Nous en avons trouv\u00e9 un qui \u00e9tait d&#8217;occasion. Nous n&#8217;aimons pas vraiment acheter des \u00e9quipements d&#8217;occasion, surtout lorsqu&#8217;ils sont chers et techniquement tr\u00e8s difficiles \u00e0 travailler&#8221;, explique Peter. &#8220;Cependant, celui-ci \u00e9tait \u00e0 peine utilis\u00e9, et nous l&#8217;avons donc achet\u00e9.&#8221;  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-paragraph\">Nous esp\u00e9rions que les services API seraient en mesure de v\u00e9rifier l&#8217;installation de la machine et d&#8217;effectuer un VEC afin d&#8217;aligner ses performances sur celles de la premi\u00e8re machine. Ces espoirs ont toutefois \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9\u00e7us d\u00e8s l&#8217;arriv\u00e9e de la machine. En transit, la machine avait percut\u00e9 un viaduc d&#8217;autoroute et \u00e9tait compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9vast\u00e9e. Heureusement pour Flying-S, son partenariat avec C.R. Onsrud et API Services lui a permis de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de la combinaison de connaissances et de capacit\u00e9s de production des \u00e9quipementiers et d&#8217;une exp\u00e9rience r\u00e9elle en mati\u00e8re de mesure, de r\u00e9paration et d&#8217;assemblage pour sauver la machine.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;C&#8217;\u00e9tait un d\u00e9sastre absolu&#8221;, dit Peter. &#8220;Mais, C.R. Onsrud a estim\u00e9 que nous pouvions la r\u00e9parer. Et donc, nous avons imm\u00e9diatement su que notre partenariat avec l&#8217;API allait devenir vraiment important pour essentiellement r\u00e9assembler une machine \u00e0 t\u00eate inclinable \u00e0 cinq acc\u00e8s avec plusieurs tables ici dans notre usine. Et je suis heureux de dire que, m\u00eame si cela a pris un certain temps, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre partenariat avec l&#8217;API et C.R. Onsrud, nous avons pu le faire fonctionner, et maintenant nous avons une redondance avec nos co\u00fbts. Nous avons deux machines avec des broches identiques et des enveloppes de travail similaires, et cela me donne la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de savoir que j&#8217;ai cette capacit\u00e9 d&#8217;enveloppe de travail.&#8221;  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-paragraph\">En collaboration avec Flying-S et C.R. Onsrud, API Services a pu aider \u00e0 sauver une machine-outil fortement endommag\u00e9e et \u00e0 v\u00e9rifier ses performances en fonction des plus hautes tol\u00e9rances. Et les services API continuent de prendre en charge Flying-S.
