As p\u00e1s s\u00e3o projetadas, moldadas e montadas em grande escala. Na verdade, algumas destas p\u00e1s s\u00e3o t\u00e3o grandes que n\u00e3o podem ser transportadas por estrada. Elas devem ser usinadas e soldadas em locais costeiros e depois levadas por navio diretamente para seu local de instala\u00e7\u00e3o no mar.
