Optoelectronic Engineer (Rockville, Maryland )

Automated Precision Inc. (API) innovates advanced metrology solutions for industry. API products are used by the world’s leading automotive, aerospace, machine tool, and CMM manufacturers. API’s experienced engineering and operational team are unmatched in its ability to create advanced instruments that meet the needs of rapidly evolving industries. At the corporate headquarters in Rockville, MD we are currently seeking to add for an optoelectronic engineer. The candidate will be hired to work in electronics, optics, and fiber optics and to support interdisciplinary R&D projects (www.apimetrology.com).

 

This position requires working closely with engineering teams in development projects covering company’s current and future technologies related to optical metrology in Automated Precision Inc. He/she will contribute to designing optoelectronic devices and prototyping API products and testing, writing engineering documents, and will also require supporting in production engineering for company’s current products.

 

Skills and Experiences

· Programming experience in Matlab or Python

    Regional Sales Manager (Seattle, Washington)

    Role:

    The Regional Sales Manager is the lead for an account team in a defined area, responsible for technical and business requirements discovery, solution design/engineering/consulting, proposal preparation support and technical presentations to customers for API’s full suite of products and solutions.

    The responsibilities may include:

    • Prepare a sales strategy for your region
    • Identify key networks and contacts that will help initiate relationships into customer organizations
    • Identify and communicate challenges for selling in the region
    • Call on new and existing customers and promote our products
    • Prepare proposal offerings for products and services offered by the company
    • Ability to effectively demonstrate equipment and software
    • Ability to work with all levels of management
    • Effective communicator both internally to the company and externally to your customers
    • Facilitate and lead meetings between the company and the customers
    • Align technical and/or business personnel between the company and the customer

    This position requires:

    • Experience with Laser Tracker, Photogrammetry Systems, Laser Scanners and/or Total Stations

    Inside Sales Support (Tustin, California)

    1.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Inside Sales Support prime responsibility is to provide lead generation through qualification, coordinate sales-related actions with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), generate quotes and relative documents, and communicate all aspects of the sales process with management.

    2.0 TASKS AND DUTIES

    To support responsibilities in 1.0, the ISS performs the following tasks and duties:

    2.1 Utilizing lead generation software to find the best point of contact at a prospective company to establish a connection.
    2.2 Respond to all inquiries forwarded to them by the Sales Team, RSM, etc.
    2.3 Develops, with approval of their supervisor & RSM, scripts for qualifying leads.
    2.4 Meet goals, as set by their supervisor and RSM for delivering qualified leads.
    2.5 Coordinates and sets, with RSM approval, appointments for demos when RSM is in a particular territory and has calendar openings.
    2.6 Creates quotes for customers based on RSM notes and input. Delivers quotes and support documents, with RSM approval, to the customer.
    2.7 Completes, with RSM approval and assistance, all RFQs, bids to quote, NDAs, supplier forms, credit forms, etc.
    2.8 Database management and maintenance of Sugar CRM. Close the loop between RSM and CRM.
    2.9 Assist sales and marketing to identify companies and customers in targeted vertical markets.
    2.10 At RSM direction, follow up with customers on existing quotes and develop basic quotes on standard accessories and service.
    2.11 Attend all sales meetings, including weekly sales members. Provide status report regarding status of goals, outstanding issues and new opportunities.
    2.12 Become familiar, on an ongoing basis, API products and technology. Travel, at RSM discretion, in field to become familiar with customer issues and applications.

    3.0 MEASUREMENTS AND GOALS

    • Drip Email Campaign – Maintain consistent and valued outreach to nurture a steady flow of qualified leads to established contacts and satisfied customers.
    • Generate Quotes –as needed for their RSM’s and entire Sales team.
    • Customer Inquiries – e-mails and voice messages are processed (open, read, completion is planned) the same day if received 1 hour before end of the day; within four work hours.
    • SugarCRM information is up to date. Loop closed between RSM activity and Sugar CRM.
    • Other processes are accomplished per approved schedule.

    4.0 SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

    • Good phone skills; verbal and written communication skills
    • Data entry skills, working knowledge of MS Office programs
    • Organizational skills allowing for multi-tasking and working under pressure
    • Analytical skills to understand relations among various data
    • Multicultural experience.
    Sales Engineer (Regions: North Central, North East, North West, South Central, South East, South West)

    Summary/Objective
    This position focus on API’s entire product portfolio and associated Services. Most activities will be under the direct guidance of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM). Market expansion is the main goal of this position. This position must become a technical expert with the products and their applications. Ultimately, this position will require product demonstration, provide quotation of equipment and services to customers, and close orders.

    Primary Responsibilities

    · Work with the RSM to ensure proper coverage throughout the sales territory. Perform product demonstrations, product delivery, customer visits and sales calls.

    · Interface with API partners, resellers and agents in the field.

    · Interact daily with past and potential customers.

    · Work sales leads as received and directed by the RSM.

    · Document all sales activity in the company’s CRM.

    · Meet or exceed sales goals.

    · Maintain business plan for area of responsibility.

    · Communicate daily with the RSM on customer needs.

    · Demonstrate and sell API equipment to customers.

    · Sell or rent used or refurbished equipment.

    · Act as backup to the RSM when necessary.

    Work Environment

    Laser Tracker Operator ( Metro Detroit MI Area)

    Title: Laser Tracker Operator

    Description: API’s Exact Laser Measurement (ELM) Division is seeking motivated young professionals for full-time measurement work in the Metro-Detroit area. Tracker Operators will take ELM equipment to customer sites and perform touch and scanning measurements, delivering fast, accurate results that keep customer manufacturing processes running smoothly. Tracker Operators will work in a variety of industrial environments, making inspections and verifications at various stages of the manufacturing process, from machine and factory component alignment to part inspection/verification to building scanning. Tracker Operators may also perform Laser Tracker Certification and other duties as directed out of our Plymouth, MI office. Tracker Operators will receive comprehensive in-house training on equipment setup/operation, software use, and best practices. Trainees will need to sign 1-year service commitment to ELM.

    Requirements: Applicants must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and basic math skills. CAD Knowledge is preferred. Applicant must have, or be able to apply for, a passport and be willing to travel. Applicant must have clean driving record and pass a drug screening and criminal background check. Applicant must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

    Web Developer/Digital Media Specialist (Metro Detroit MI Area)

    Title: Web Developer/Digital Media Specialist

    We are looking for a skilled Web Developer who will be responsible for developing and/or designing websites for our company. You will be tasked with creating, maintaining, and updating our websites. You will also assist in CRM management, create email campaigns and newsletters, coordinate social media accounts, and manage Google ads.

    In order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in HTML, CSS, a solid knowledge and experience in WordPress and Divi, and basic Adobe Photoshop knowledge.

    Web Developer/Digital Media Specialist Responsibilities:

    • Website and software application designing, building, or maintaining.
    • Possess a good understanding of mobile and responsive design.

    Graphic Artist/Designer

    We are looking for a skilled Graphic Artist / Designer who will be responsible for designing a variety of digital and print assets for our company. You be tasked with designing, creating, updating, and editing projects for web, social media, print media, advertisements, video, apparel, and more.

    In order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and have solid knowledge and experience in layout and copy design.

    Graphic Artist/Designer Job Responsibilities:

    • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions to create concepts for current and future projects
    • Plans concept by studying information and materials.
    • Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
