Regional Sales Manager – North Central Region

Automated Precision Inc. (API) is a global leader providing advanced metrology solutions for industries. We are currently seeking to add to the team a Regional Sales Manager for the North Central Region.

Role: The Regional Sales Manager is the lead for an account team in a defined area, responsible for technical and business requirements discovery, solution design/engineering/consulting, proposal preparation support and technical presentations to customers for API’s full suite of products and solutions.

Tasks:

· Collaborate with teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide end-to-end sales support.

· Acquire new orders, assist customer to customize system specification, review with customer completeness of received shipment, perform customer acceptance test and training, and follow-up to assure customer satisfaction.

· Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

· Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.

· Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use.

· Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.

· Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.

· Arrange for demonstrations or trial installations of equipment.

Laser Tracker Operator ( Metro Detroit MI Area)

Title: Laser Tracker Operator

Description: API’s Exact Laser Measurement (ELM) Division is seeking motivated young professionals for full-time measurement work in the Metro-Detroit area. Tracker Operators will take ELM equipment to customer sites and perform touch and scanning measurements, delivering fast, accurate results that keep customer manufacturing processes running smoothly. Tracker Operators will work in a variety of industrial environments, making inspections and verifications at various stages of the manufacturing process, from machine and factory component alignment to part inspection/verification to building scanning. Tracker Operators may also perform Laser Tracker Certification and other duties as directed out of our Plymouth, MI office. Tracker Operators will receive comprehensive in-house training on equipment setup/operation, software use, and best practices. Trainees will need to sign 1-year service commitment to ELM.

Requirements: Applicants must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and basic math skills. CAD Knowledge is preferred. Applicant must have, or be able to apply for, a passport and be willing to travel. Applicant must have clean driving record and pass a drug screening and criminal background check. Applicant must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Inside Sales Support (Newport News, VA)

Summary/Objective

The Inside Sales Support is responsible to develop new prospects and interacts with existing customers primarily by phone or email, working with Marketing team and Regional Sales, to increase sales of products and/or services.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

· Identify revenue opportunities within customers’ communities through communications, programs and other activities as needed.

· Prospect, qualify and generate sales leads following company’s proprietary lead generation process which is primarily email-based.

· Telephone or email prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drie leads through the sales pipeline.

· Respond to requests from customers for information and provide quotes.

· Support Regional Sales by providing quote generation and coordinating meetings with customers.

· Keep management informed of all activities including timely preparation of reports.

· Other duties as and when assigned.

 

 

Requirements

 

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.

· Minimum 1-2 years in sales, customer service or related field.

· Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.

Role: The Sales Engineer is part of the sales team in a defined area, responsible for technical and business requirements discovery, solution design/engineering/consulting, proposal preparation support and technical presentations to customers for API’s full suite of products and solutions.
Tasks:
Develop specific sales plans by account in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager establishing annual sales goals and budgets for the territory.
Become proficient using API equipment having the ability to demonstrate and promote key features and technical selling point at customer locations.
Become proficient in using API’s CRM and manage details of customer contacts within the system.
Develop a personal rapport with customers personnel and key decision makers in the customers organization. Map out the buying paths for each customer providing names, positions and contact information for each into the CRM.
Call prospective customers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to arrange visit and demonstration.
Provide day-to-day customer sales support in the respective territory. Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions directly or where beyond technical capability, directing customer’s requests to the respective Headquarters support personnel.
Gain customers confidence by being able to explain and demonstrate how API equipment can provide process cost reductions and offer productivity improvements for their business.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain API’s products or services to existing and prospective customers.
Prepare and deliver customer quotations fulfilling specific customer requirements.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Related Science, and a desire to connect with customers and help to sell API products and services.
