Laser Tracker Operator ( Metro Detroit MI Area)

Title: Laser Tracker Operator

Description: API’s Exact Laser Measurement (ELM) Division is seeking motivated young professionals for full-time measurement work in the Metro-Detroit area. Tracker Operators will take ELM equipment to customer sites and perform touch and scanning measurements, delivering fast, accurate results that keep customer manufacturing processes running smoothly. Tracker Operators will work in a variety of industrial environments, making inspections and verifications at various stages of the manufacturing process, from machine and factory component alignment to part inspection/verification to building scanning. Tracker Operators may also perform Laser Tracker Certification and other duties as directed out of our Plymouth, MI office. Tracker Operators will receive comprehensive in-house training on equipment setup/operation, software use, and best practices. Trainees will need to sign 1-year service commitment to ELM.

Web Developer/Digital Media Specialist (Metro Detroit MI Area)

Title: Web Developer/Digital Media Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer who will be responsible for developing and/or designing websites for our company. You will be tasked with creating, maintaining, and updating our websites. Graphic Artist/Designer

We are looking for a skilled Graphic Artist / Designer who will be responsible for designing a variety of digital and print assets for our company. You be tasked with designing, creating, updating, and editing projects for web, social media, print media, advertisements, video, apparel, and more.

Electrical Engineer (Rockville MD)

Electrical Engineer

About the position

Based in Rockville, MD, API is a fast-growing high-technology company that specializes in developing the industry metrology solution. We are expanding the R&D team to serve the company growth. Electrical Engineer is playing the very critical role in next generation product development, strong analog/digital circuits and PCB layout knowledge are required for this position. In addition, attention to details and a desire to learn and understand principles of circuit operation are essential to success in this position.

 

Responsibilities

· Design and implement electrical systems and circuit boards.

· Schematic capture and PCB layout using PADS software tools.

· Generate gerber files, fabrication notes, and BOM for PCB fabrication and assembly.

· Perform circuit board testing and system integration testing.

· Build test fixture for engineering test and production.

· Develop and maintain proper documentation.

 

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field, master’s degree is a plus.

Calibration Technician (Newport News, VA)

At the services office in Newport News, VA, we are currently seeking to add to the team a motivated Calibration Technician. This position has upward mobility to several areas including our service engineering team, who performs contract measurement services for our customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Will be operating instruments with multiple computers at the same time. Must have basic computer skill for transferring data between multiple computers

2. Will assist service team in calibration, repair, rental equipment verification, and service equipment identification

3. Perform precision alignment of optical parts to 10 microns

4. Work closely with the API Global Diagnostics/Support team on calibration and repair related issues, as they arise

5. Responsible for daily production activities and work on different products as required

6. Responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving and moving items to the appropriate parties

7. Responsible for completing and assigning appropriate to-do’s in Project Management software

Quality/Regulatory/Safety Analyst (Newport News, VA)

At the services office in Newport News, VA, we are currently seeking to add to the team an experienced Quality/Regulatory/Safety Analyst.  

Role:

Maintains quality compliance by identifying quality requirements, disseminating standards, policies, and procedures; conducting audits; recommending improvement plans.

Tasks:

  • Cultivate a process-based Quality culture taking a proactive approach to implementing, facilitating and coordinating the quality activities in this high tech manufacturing operation.
  • Identify product quality requirements by reviewing regulations, guidelines, standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods.
  • Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses.
  • Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.

Two Year Technical Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production environment or Bachelor’s Degree w/ 1-2 years’ experience in a production environment.
