Name: Fulya Alatli Position: Administration/CSS Years with the company: 2
1) What was your childhood like?
I grew up with my parents and 2 brothers in Ludwigshafen very close to Mannheim and Heidelberg. I had a beautiful, happy-go-lucky childhood in a lively and turbulent family.
2) Who was a hero to you growing up? Why?
I didn’t have a hero in the traditional sense. My parents are my role models, because I learned from them that no matter how many setbacks you suffer, you can achieve anything and much more with discipline, patience, and determination. They also taught me to always be grateful.
3) What are your hobbies?
I like to travel, and I am very interested in cars and fashion.
4) How did you end up in metrology? Did you go to school for it?
I am a freight forwarder and transport specialist and had nothing to do with professional Metrology until I came to API. I have learned a lot about it here.
5) How did you come to be at API?
That was purely by chance: The position was open, and I was looking for and found a task in a good team with a lot of challenges. And I was able to put my experience from the logistics industry to good use.
6) What are your roles and responsibilities with API?
I am responsible for receiving and shipping our products. In addition, I coordinate the orders for certification, calibration, and maintenance orders in our lab in cooperation with my colleagues. In this way, I relieve our measurement technicians and our laboratory.
7) What sets API apart from other metrology companies in your mind?
API is a very innovative company, but we also have a strong focus on customer orientation. I am happy to be part of a large international team and to inspire our customers every day anew.
8) What API Product or Service are you most excited to tell people about?
My favorite thing to talk about with our customers is our Radian Laser Tracker series with accessories like vProbe and our new iScan3D.
9) What about API’s future excites you?
I am pleased to be able to offer our customers good solutions for their processes through API’s new innovative product developments in measurement technology. It gives me pride to have certainty that our customers are thrilled and relieved by this.
10) What does “Nothing Beyond Measure” mean to you?
“Nothing Beyond Measure” means to me that we at API always offer integrated solutions for our customers – even for particularly difficult challenges.
